Singapore—China’s first large-scale coal-togas project has run into technical problems since being commissioned in December last year, with output suspended for much of the first quarter, but the project is now in the process of returning to full operations. The Keqi coal-to-gas project in Chifeng city in Inner Mongolia is majority owned and operated by Datang Power, one of China’s largest independent power producers focused on coal-fired power generation.
