Singapore—Despite the political turmoil gripping Thailand, oil companies Platts spoke to Friday said they were able to carry on their “business [operations in the country] as usual.” Many local oil companies in Thailand have offices within the Ministry of Energy complex, and in December 2013 and January 2014, these companies had asked their employees to work from outside the main Bangkok office, Platts has reported earlier quoting company statements on the Stock Exchange of Thailand posted at the time.
