Tehran—Iranian oil minister Rostam Ghasemi said that oil prices were below an “ideal range” and that Iran would seek a cut in OPEC’s overall ceiling when the producers’ group meets in Vienna later this month. Ghasemi’s comments on May 13 come as further signs emerged of a cash crunch in the country that was once OPEC’s second largest producer, before international sanctions put a squeeze on its key source of revenues.
