Shell teams up with Ganghui for China LNG project

Singapore-Shell and Chinese company Guang- hui Energy have inked an agreement to develop an LNG import terminal along China's eastern coast, potentially making the Anglo-Dutch major the second foreign company to own a stake in an LNG receiving terminal in the country. In an email late Thursday, a Shell spokes- woman said: "We can confirm that Shell and Guanghui Energy have signed a non-binding Letter of Intent that confirms the intention of the two parties to explore the possibility of developing a LNG import terminal project in Qidong, Jiangsu province."
