Utica shale sees growing pains

Pittsburgh -While Utica Shale production is expected grow substantially, the Ohio play is still seeing growing pains as drillers perfect techniques to get the most gas and oil from each well. Producers have yet to "crack the code" of the Utica, according to Jim Palm, CEO of Gulfport Energy. He said that there may be a case for changing casing size, or even fracking without sand in order to complete the wells.
