Moscow—Russian state-owned oil pipeline operator Transneft is likely to slow work on new infrastructure projects if the government approves a proposed freeze of transportation tariffs, including halting work on an expansion of the East Siberia-Pacific Ocean pipeline. Transneft’s first vice president Maxim Grishanin said Monday the company had no plans to cancel any major infrastructure projects, but could reconsider their work timeframes because of the tariff freeze, which would cut substantially into its earnings.
