Sydney—The Boreas gas discovery in the Browse Basin off Western Australia is expected to be able to produce at commercial rates, part holder Karoon Gas Australia said. The Boreas-1 exploration well in the WA-315-P permit this week produced at an equipment-constrained rate of up to 30,000 Mcf/d through a 40/64 inch choke at a well head pressure of 3,300 psi, Karoon said October 24.
