Genel Energy sees flat Kurdish output for rest of 2012

London—Anglo-Turkish producer Genel Energy said May 18 it expects its oil output for the whole of 2012 to average around 45,000 b/d, the same level as in the first quarter, because of the export constraints currently in place for production from the northern Iraqi region of Kurdistan. Genel, formed last year by a merger of investment vehicle Vallares and Turkey’s Genel Enerji, saw its Q1 production rise by 27% to 45,500 b/d compared with the same period of last year.
