Moscow—Russia’s crude oil output hit a new post-Soviet era record in October— reaching 44.23 million mt (10.42 million b/d), up 1.2% year on year, according to preliminary data from the country’s energy ministry. The Russian oil companies leading in terms of production growth in October were Gazprom Neft and Rosneft, which showed a 4.8% and a 3.7% growth year on year, respectively, according to analysts at Moscow-based VTB Capital.
