US natural gas storage still on pace to set a record

Knoxville, Tennessee—A larger-than-expected 77-Bcf injection lifted US gas storage inventories to 3.653 Tcf last week with a month remaining in the traditional refill season, the Energy Information Administration said. “We are only 198 Bcf from reaching the record fill set last year,” said Aaron Calder, an analyst at Gelber & Associates. “We see the massive shoulder season injections witnessed last year, but we are still on pace to set a record.”
