Iran storing up to 22 million barrels of oil

Singapore—Iran is believed to be storing up to 22 million barrels of crude oil and condensates on tankers offshore, with a total of 15 tankers—seven VLCCs and eight Suezmax vessels—now anchored for more than 10 days near its loading terminals, according to data from Platts vessel tracking software cTrack. Platts had reported April 16 that an estimated 16 million barrels—five VLCCs and six Suezmaxes—of Iranian crude was being stored on vessels belonging to the National Iranian Tanker Company close to various Iranian oil terminals.
