Singapore-India's state-owned Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited has completed construction of a new fluid catalytic cracker at its 6.3 million mt/year (126,500 b/d) Mumbai refinery and expects to start up the unit late this month, an industry source said January 10. The 1.4 million mt/year FCC was mechani- cally completed December 31 and is now in the process of starting up. Commercial output is expected to begin around January 30 with production to stabilize starting in February.
