Singapore-As opponents of TransCanada's proposed Keystone XL pipeline return to Washington for another planned mass demonstration at the White House, some watchers told Platts the protests have reached President Barack Obama's ears. Obama made his most extensive comments on the project during the week, saying in an interview that his decision would take into consideration future energy needs and potential harm to health and the environment. He added that "a few thousand jobs" were not worth spoiling drinking water or ruining farmland in Nebraska.
