Indonesia to start 15 new projects in 2012

Jakarta—Indonesia’s upstream regulator BPMigas December 21 said 15 new oil and gas projects would start up next year, producing a total 1.16 Bcf/d of natural gas and 35,200 b/d of crude oil and condensate. The projects that are expected to come on stream in 2012 include Pertamina Hulu Energi’s KE-39, 40 and 54 fields in the West Madura Offshore block in East Java, BPMigas’ deputy head of operations Rudi Rubiandini told Platts. The fields will add 13,600 b/d by the third quarter to the output of the company, which is a subsidiary of state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina.
