Japan's crude imports dip

Tokyo-Japan imported 17.776 million kilo- liters (3.61 million b/d) of crude in March, down 6.6% from 19.04 million kl a year ago, according to preliminary figures released April 20 by the Ministry of Finance. Japan's crude import price on a CIF basis averaged Yen 53,355/kl ($102.97/b) in March, up 7.5% from Yen 49,655/kl in February. The level was 23.2% higher than the Yen 43,317/kl recorded in March 2010, the data showed.
