Pluto LNG project faces 6-month delay, cost blowout

Sydney-Woodside Petroleum has been forced to delay first LNG from its 90%-owned Pluto project in Western Australia from September 2011 to March 2012, the company said in a statement June 17. The cost of the project also has blown out again, this time by A$900 million ($949 million) to a total of A$14.9 billion. The revised estimate includes the cost of arrangements with the project's customers who have been affected by the delay.
