Russian crude output rises to new post-Soviet record

Moscow-Russia's crude oil production rose to 43.7 million mt (10.3 million b/d) in October, up 0.8% year-on-year and the highest level since the breakup of the Soviet Union. Daily crude output had hit its prior post-Sov et record of 10.26 million b/d in September. Overall production in the first 10 months of the year was 425.3 million mt, up 1.2% from the same period in 2010.
