Green groups start action against EU on biofuels

London-Four environmental groups have launched legal action against the European Commission over a failure to release reports that allegedly document the negative climate impact of EU's current biofuels targets, the groups said last week.The lawsuit, filed with the EU's General Court, alleges several violations of European laws on transparency and democracy. It was brought by ClientEarth, Transport and Environment, the European Environmental Bureau and BirdLife International.
