Tokyo-Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry has sold 220,000 kiloliters (1.38 million barrels) of Khafji crude from its strategic reserves in Okinawa, southwestern Japan, a METI official said April 30. This was Japan's first sale of the heavy, sour grade from its strategic stocks since its last sale of the crude in December 2007, the official said.
