Bangkok-Thailand has begun receiving natural gas from block B-17 in the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Development Area in the Gulf of Thailand, a senior government official said February 18.Gas supply to Thailand from the Muda and Jenka fields began in early February at an initial 135,000 Mcf/d, said Kurujit Nakorn-thap, director-general of the Department of Mineral Fuels. The flow is expected to rise to 270,000 Mcf/d within 90 days, he added.
