Moscow—Russia’s Lukoil said March 24 it has written off investments in the Anaran oil field project in Iran because of international sanctions against the country, but said it could one day return to the project. Lukoil Vice President Leonid Fedun said at a 2009 results presentation in London that the company was disappointed to have written off the project given its potential.
