US natural gas storage near 3.7 Tcf after weekly injection

Knoxville, Tennessee-Mild weather and low prices prompted another sizeable injection to storage last week, with the Energy Information Administration on October 21 reporting a 93- Bcf build for the week ending October 15. Inventories now stand at 3.683 Tcf. The injection was above consensus expectations ranging from 86 to 90 Bcf and much larger than both the year-ago build of 23 Bcf and the five-year average of 54 Bcf.
