Dana, GDF Suez make new Egypt gas discovery

London-The UK's Dana Petroleum and France's GDF Suez have made a second natural gas discovery in the West El Burullus concession offshore Egypt's Nile Delta, Dana said February 10.The Papyrus-1X well was drilled in a water depth of around 20 meters and made a gas discovery which was tested at rates of up to 33,000 Mcf/d, as well as 442 b/d of condensate. The companies, which both own 50% stakes in the concession, now have made gas discoveries with their first two wells in the license area.
