Sonatrach starts flowing Medgaz pipeline

Algiers-Algerian state-owned Sonatrach has started feeding natural gas into the Medgaz pipeline linking Algeria and Spain, marking the startup of the project after months of delay. A company source said the flow of gas through the 8 billion cubic meter/year Medgaz pipeline linking Beni Saf in northwestern Algeria to Almeria in southeastern Spain had started several days ago.
