Washington-The Interior Department is work- ing on policies that will ultimately require nat- ural gas producers to disclose the compo- nents of their hydraulic fracturing solutions if they want to exploit gas on federal lands, Inte- rior Secretary Ken Salazar said November 30. The Obama administration "will push for disclosure of fracking fluids," Salazar said, adding that one of the goals of the conference being held this week at Interior's Washington headquarters is to "move forward on fracking in a way that reassures the American public."
