Malaysia announces upstream incentives

Singapore-The Malaysian government November 30 said it has agreed to amend the country's Petroleum Income Tax Act in an effort to boost oil and gas production, and promote development of its marginal fields, AFP reported. Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said the cabinet had agreed to amend the Act and he will now seek official endorsement from parliament.
