New York-Canada’s Enbridge said August 26 it will construct a new C$370 million ($350 million) crude oil pipeline in the province of Alberta on which Suncor Energy will serve as the primary shipper. The 59 mile Wood Buffalo Pipeline would link Enbridge’s Athabasca terminal to its Cheecham terminal, which is the origin point of the company’s Waupisoo Pipeline, a main conduit for oil sands production headed to the Edmonton hub.
