Iran looks to China for $42.8 billion in investments in refineries, oil pipeline: report

Hong Kong-Iran is hoping to convince China to invest in several major oil projects in the country costing more than $42.8 billion in total, Hong Kong media reported July 8. The projects include upgrades and expansions of refineries, the construction of seven new refineries in western Iran, and construction of a 1,640 km oil pipeline from Neka on the Caspian Sea coast in northern Iran to Jask on the Gulf of Oman in the south.
