China’s 2008 oil demand seen rising 4.5%

Hong Kong-China’s apparent petroleum demand was 363.88 million mt in 2008, up 4.5% from 348.15 million mt in 2007, according to an analysis of figures released recently by the government. Growth for last year was marginally higher than the 4% rise achieved in 2007.
