Tullow hikes Bangladesh gas field output by 20%

Dhaka-UK-based independent Tullow Oil has raised gas output from Bangladesh's onshore Bangura field by 20% to meet increasing demand from the country's power plants and industrial sector. Bangura is now producing 120,000 Mcf/d of gas, up from 100,000 Mcf/d previously, a senior official at state-owned Petrobangla said November 8. The field is in Comilla block 9, about 100 km (62 miles) from the capital Dhaka.
