Refiners, biofuel makers take RFS2 positions

Washington-The US ethanol and refining industries staked out familiar positions as the comment period on the Environmental Protection Agency's proposed regulations to implement the expanded Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS2) came to a close September 25. Separately, EPA Administrator Lisa Jack- son acknowledged that the agency would take into account the "significant uncertainties" associated with quantifying the lifecycle emissions from indirect land use changes overseas that were being ascribed to increasing production of biofuels in the US.
