Moscow-Russia will pursue its plans to liberalize its domestic gas market but the state monopoly on gas exports will remain, at least for the medium term, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said September 29. "We will try to liberalize the domestic market, and access to pipelines but the monopoly on the [gas] sales on the international markets will be kept, perhaps not forever but for the middle term for certain," Putin told an investment forum in Russia.
