Petrobras unveils strategic investment plan

Rio de Janeiro—Brazilian state-run oil company Petrobras said it plans to spend 112.4 billion during the 2008-2012 period, a 29% rise over its previous five-year plan, but the company cut its oil and gas production targets and said sharply higher costs in the oil industry are forcing it to boost spending.
