Tokyo—Japan and China agreed March 29 to kick off technical talks on developments in the East China Sea in the second half of next week in Beijing, in a bid to accelerate discussions over the disputed territory before Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao’s scheduled mid-April visit to Tokyo, Japanese foreign ministry sources said.
