Canadian government sets oil sands output target

Calgary-The Canadian government has set the lowest target yet for national oil sands production, forecasting 2.9 million b/d by 2020-almost triple current production-compared with the 3.27 million b/d predicted by the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers and close to 3 million b/d by 2015 estimated by other industry groups and analysts.
