Shanghai exchange launches products trading platform

Hong Kong-The Shanghai Petroleum Exchange has launched an electronic platform for yuan-denominated physical trading of refined oil and petrochemical products in the domestic Chinese market, with three deals struck November 8, the first day of trade. One 500 mt cargo of 180 CST fuel oil loading from Nansha in the south traded at Yuan 2,900 (362.50)/mt and another similar lot traded at Yuan 2,910/mt. A 50 mt lot of monoethylene glycol loading from Zhangjiagang in the east traded at Yuan 7,930/mt.
