Cut in Europe's marine fuel sulfur approved

The European Parliament voted Apr 13 in favor of stricter limits for sulfur content in marine fuels all over Europe set to come into effect starting in May 2006.The European Commission first proposed cuts to sulfur in bunkers and marine gasoil more than two years ago but agreement has been stalled amid political discord between member states.
