Nigeria LNG declares force majeure after pipe fire

Paris-Nigeria LNG said Aug 31 it has been forced to declare force majeure on deliveries following a leak and fire at the plant's main natural gas supply pipeline last week."Production of LNG at the Bonny plant had been severely affected due to non-availability of the pipeline,causing the company to declare force majeure," NLNG said in a statement.NLNG managing director Chris Haynes said the company is consulting with long-term buyers on a revised delivery schedule for September and hopes to resume production in three weeks.
