New York/Washington-Heating oil and natural gas futures led the energy complex higher on the New York Mercantile Exchange Sep 26, driven by lost US Gulf Coast production and refining capacity resulting from Hurricane Rita.The NYMEX October heating oil contract jumped 10.96 cts to 2.0586/gal and October natural gas gained 11.6 cts to 12.44/MMBtu. The November crude contract settled at 65.82/bbl, up 1.63, while October unleaded gasoline increased 4.36 cts to 2.1292/gal.
