The strength in the high sulfur fuel oil market in Northwest Europe showed no signs of weakening Thursday, supported by the reduced exports out of Baltic ports and bullish Asian sentiment, trading sources said."Singapore is still pretty strong, but nothing fixed so far," said a trader. As a result of the strong fuel oil values relative to crude oil, high sulfur fuel oil market in Northwest Europe is facing a potential of straight run product heading into cracked pool, sources said. "More straight run fuel oil looks to be offered for cracked pool with HSFO cracks strong and no incentive for refineries to run it," said a trader.
