New York Harbor jet 54 cash differentials Tuesday rallied 1.5 cents/gal to trade at 3 cents/gal over the front-month NYMEX heating oil contract, as supplies tightened on the back of poor re-supply economics from the US Gulf Coast, sources said. Platts Tuesday assessed New York Harbor heating oil differentials at plus 2.5 cents/gal. An uneconomic arbitrage to ship jet fuel along the Colonial Pipeline, which runs from Houston, Texas, to Linden New Jersey, was the major reason for the lack of product, sources said.
