Shell to close refinery in Puerto Rico

Shell has decided to close its petrochemical and refining facility at Yabucoa in Puerto Rico after it was unable to find a buyer for the plant, the company confirmed June 4. The plant will be shuttered in July, but Shell will continue to supply gasoline and other petroleum products to contracted customers in Puerto Rico by importing the oil and using the plant's terminal to send out deliveries.
