Singapore-South Korea's oil product exports have emerged unscathed by the economic downturn, having grown 4% to 219 million barrels in the first eight months of 2009, from 210.7 million barrels in the corresponding period a year ago, led by a 50% jump in gasoline shipments. Gasoline exports from South Korea rose 52% to 24.87 million barrels over the January-August period, from 16.38 million barrels in 2008, according to data from state-run Korea National Oil Corporation.
