Italy's Eni has declared force majeure at its Brass River field in Nigeria following an oil spill, a spokeswoman confirmed June 11. "There has been an oil spill on the Tebidaba Brass line," the spokeswoman said. "Production has been stopped and Eni has declared force majeure. Eni's equity production affected by the shutdown is 7,500 b/d." Around 40,000 b/d of crude is supplied through the pipeline.
