Rome—The world's energy consumers told leading oil powers gathered in Rome for key energy discussions that oil prices were damagingly high, as producers maintained that no amount of additional oil would reverse an unprecedented price rally in a market dominated by speculators and other extraneous factors. While oil ministers and executives from top energy companies and organizations from more that 90 countries conceded there was no "silver bullet" to end the current crisis gripping oil markets, there were signs producers and consumers were in agreement on some issues that paved the way for some new collaborations.
