PDVSA to hike Cuba refining capacity

Caracas-The capacity of two refineries in Cuba will be expanded and a new one will be built taking the country's refining capacity to a projected 350,000 b/d from its current 87,000 b/d,Venezuela's state-owned oil company PDVSA said in a statement December 14.Under the latest agreement,the Cien-fuegos refinery will see its capacity expanded from 65,000 b/d to 150,000 b/d;the Hermanos Diaz refinery in Santiago will go from 22,000 b/d to 50,000 b/d;and the new refinery in the port city of Matanzas will have a capacity of 150,000 b/d,PDVSA said.
