Supplies of fuel oil cargoes in the Persian Gulf are expected to be tighter in the next couple of weeks after talk that Iran,the main supplier of fuel oil in the region,has canceled the export of one to two 40,000 mt cargoes to Emirates National Oil Company and Middle Eastern trader FAL Oil,industry sources based in the Persian Gulf said Friday.Sources said the cargoes had been canceled because the National Iranian Oil Company was to shut one of its refineries for maintenance over September 4-10.The details of the shutdown could not be confirmed as NIOC was closed for the weekend Friday.
