Vacuum gasoil looked weak Friday in the US Gulf Coast despite news that the downed Valero Aruba refinery continued to keep about 85,000 b/d out of the market.The 285,000 b/d refinery was idled Tuesday because of a power outage. A fire broke out late the following day during an attempted restart, keeping the plant off-line. But since Wednesday, sweet VGO prices have actually dropped from $8/barrel over March WTI crude, to $5.50/barrel over on Friday.
