International crude:Malaysia's Tapis rips to 100/barrel

Light,sweet Tapis hit an all-time high of 100/barrel at the close of the Market On Close assessment process at 0830 GMT.Increase in demand for heating fuel or kerosene from Northeast Asia and the seasonal peak in air travel in Asia were factors for the rise,industry sources said.Petronas has set the November Tapis premium at 2.20/barrel,up 20 cents/b from October.The price is reasonable,an industry source said."The current premiums are being impacted more by distressed light,sweet crudes than Tapis.Tapis is in good shape," the source said.
