US DOE again rejects bids to refill SPR

Washington-The US Department of Energy May 2 rejected for the second time in as many months all offers received from companies willing to supply crude oil to the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.DOE said it would suspend plans for future purchases into the SPR until at least the Labor Day holiday in early September,which marks the end of the summer driving season.
